Dr. Amerneni Ravi Kumar presents a webinar on the topic of EMS/AHPND in shrimp. Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease (AHPND) results from bacteria carrying a plasmid encoding toxins pirA and pirB. Disease management involves using high-health seed from SPF brood stock or toxin-resistant shrimp strains, as well as employing strategies like microbial diversity management (Probiotics), Bacteriophages, and essential oils.
